Remove the cap and screw the tee handle
into the pitless adaptor (for well seals or oversize pitless
adaptors, see step 6).
|
|
2 |
"Wheelbarrow" the model 1977
to the pump and remove the pinch wheel. |
|
3 |
Rock the model 1977 to set the leg
height just above the casing. Leg height is set by clutches; no pins to
pull and lose or holes to line up. Remove the pinch wheel. |
|
4 |
Slide the model 1977 to center the
pinch point on the tee handle and use the hydraulic jack to pull the
pinch wheel in and clamp the tee handle. |
|
5 |
Slide the portable power drive in place
(Rigid 700 is shown), lock it with the chain and turn it on. Up
comes the pump! |
|
6 |
Guide the drop pipe as it comes out of
the well. Chafing guards come right through the wheels.
Drop pipe can be any size up to 2" (50 mm),
coil plastic, schedule 80 or galvanized steel.
The overhead and come-along (shown) or boat winch has
three purposes:
| Releasing stuck pitless adaptors
| Raising well seals or oversize pitless adaptors
| Most important: Hanging the tee handle when
putting the pitless back together: THE WEIGHT IS ON THE MACHINE,
NOT THE OPERATOR! |
| |
|
|
7 |
For schedule 80 or galvanized pipe, add the
optional model 1968 halo to the overhead to guide the free end as it comes out of
the well. |
